A new site may be created from the Official Joomla Package or from your own package.

The two main use cases for using our own package are:

  • Template "Kickstart" or "Launcher" Demo Packages.
  • Backups such as Akeeba Backup.

The deevop installer is able to install automatically some demo packages from commercial templates. The possibility depends on the method chosen by the provider to store the demo content inside the package.

Check the compatibily of your provider here.

When the automatic installation fails, the package can always be installed via the manual installation.

Before creating the site, you will need to upload the package to the joomla/packages folder of the storage.

Tip: The package may be downloaded directly from a public location, such as the vendor site.
